jfAerie Secretary’s Message
The Grand sent us a member drop list of 18 members as of Sept. 25th. We were able to renew 11 of those members. At the last initiation meeting on Sept. 19th we were able to initiate 3 new members, and we currently have a total of nine prospective members in our file. I would like to thank everyone for bringing in those members, and keep up the good work. As Bob Barker would say COME ON DOWN.
We are now going into the holiday season, and I would like to be the first to say Happy Holiday. We have a full schedule thru Nov. and Dec. with our Friday Night Dinner dances, and of course we expect everyone to come and enjoy them with us. I will be the chairman for our New Year’s dinner dance which will be held on Sunday Dec. 31. We will be featuring PACIFIC BEAT for our ball room dancing, and once again we will be having a sit-down dinner, and it will be catered by R&B Catering with your choice of one of the same three dinner items as last year, SALMON, CHICKEN CORDON BLEU, AND ROASTED PORK LOIN. Due to the increase of the entertainment and food this year the price of the New Year’s Eve Party will be $ 65.00 per person. Tickets are on sale now. Get them early so that you can choose your tables. There will be no reserved tables, and no tickets sold at the door. We had a tremendous turn-out last year, and expect the same this year. Chaplain’s Message

My Brothers and Sisters:

Cease doing evil things; Strive to do good things; Purify your heart!
Ancient Buddhist guidelines

Well, November is already on us and we have yet so much to prepare for with the Holiday Season ahead of us, we should already start planning for the New Year ahead. Time is going by so fast it makes my head spin. But, prepare for it we must.

The last few weeks have been very active and a lot has been accomplished. Thanks to all who volunteered and participated at our Feed The Troops Event. We should all be proud of this event to give thanks to all of the young men and women who have chosen to serve our country. Brothers and Sisters, we should be proud that we are able to continue this popular and welcome event at the Airport USO. I certainly am.
Peace to all,
Emilio Gutierrez, Chaplain
